Shashikant Deshpande
Founder & Managing Director
Visionary entrepreneur who established SPIPL in 1998 and evolved it into a leading IT education company in Central India. Under his leadership, SPIPL became a C-DAC Authorized Training Centre, an MKCL Coordinating Unit for East Vidarbha, and expanded operations across 7 Indian states.
A passionate advocate for AI-era education, he personally drives curriculum innovation — including SPIPL's AI Workbook, 12 Pillars of AI Literacy, and the company's mentor role within MKCL's statewide network. With 28 years of experience in technical education, he continues to shape careers through technology.
Rajendra Gowardhan
Co-Mentor
Rajendra Gowardhan is a seasoned academic leader, institution builder, and industry professional with over four decades of distinguished experience spanning engineering education, industrial management, entrepreneurship, and institutional leadership. An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, where he earned an M.Tech in Industrial Management, and VRCE Nagpur, where he completed his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. He brings a strong blend of technical expertise and managerial acumen. His professional journey began in the core engineering and infrastructure sector with Tata Electric Company, Mumbai, followed by significant industry experience at Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Rourkela, where he served in the Officers’ Cadre. Transitioning to academia, he contributed over a decade as Assistant Professor in Industrial Engineering at Ramdeobaba Engineering College, Nagpur, shaping engineering graduates with an industry-oriented mindset.
Dr. Deepak Deshpande
Chief Growth Officer & CHRO
With over 25 years of extensive experience in HR leadership across Indian and global ICT, IT & ITES MNCs such as NTT, TCS, L&T, Datamatics, CMS Group, and BlueStar, Deepak brings a strategic perspective on HR imperatives spanning various geographies and time zones.
Currently holding the dual roles of CHRO & Chief Growth Officer at SPIPL, he previously served as CHRO & Head – HR & Admin at Netmagic NTT. His leadership in handling people transitions during funding rounds from Fidelity, Nexus Capital, Cisco, Nokia, and NTT has been instrumental in fortifying a resilient workforce for the VUCA environment.
Deepak is a double post-graduate in Applied Electronics (MSc and MPhil), holds dual MBA degrees including one from Harvard, and is an alumnus of ISB and IIMA, with over 450 online certifications from esteemed organisations. An active Rotarian, he has served as Assistant Governor and District Secretary, championing community service.
Jayant Sardeshmukh
Advisory Board Member
Jayant Sardeshmukh holds both a BTech and an MTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IIT Bombay, and is based in the USA. His professional background includes significant executive leadership roles at TCS and Unisys.
He is the Founder and CEO of Competesmart Solutions Inc., established in 2003, which provides cloud-based solutions. He has driven the creation of productivity and educational planning apps such as IDEABOARDS and zIDEABOOKS — designed to help with brainstorming, planning, and interactive learning through visual models.
Jayant is recognised for blending technical and business management skills, with expertise in business strategy, software engineering, agile project management, and the pragmatic deployment of innovative solutions.
